Sean M. Savoie is an award winning designer currently serving as resident Lighting Designer / Production Manager / Design Coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his MFA from the University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music in Lighting Design and Technology, and his BFA from the University of Southern Mississippi.  His background also includes architectural lighting and design firms King Lighting, Inc., in Covington, KY and Visions in Light of Cincinnati, OH. 


Sean has been fortunate to work with some truly amazing people and companies across the country and internationally.   Among those are Stages St. Louis, HotCity Theatre, The Black Rep, Winter Opera St. Louis, Insight Theatre, Muddy Waters Theatre, Upstream Theatre, Wayside Theatre, Shenandoah University, Theatre West Virginia, Tsunami Theatre Company in Washington, DC, New York Chinese Cultural Center, Portland Opera (Associate & Assistant Designer), Know Theatre (including the award winning See What I Wanna See & Eurydice), Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and the Cincinnati Opera (Assistant Designer).


Sean is the proud recipient of the 2009 USITT Rising Star Award and the 2010 CCM Distinguish Young Alumnus Award from his alma mater.
